TRAVELBOOK is a service of Axel Springer Deutschland GmbH and was launched in 2013 as an online magazine for travel topics. We report daily on topics from the world of travel in a competent, understandable and independent manner.
Our goal, purpose and claim
TRAVELBOOK aims to provide travel enthusiasts and open-minded people with inspiration, entertainment, knowledge and news about travel. In doing so, we focus on orientation and on comprehensible, independent and high-quality journalism that is balanced and scientifically sound. TRAVELBOOK is supported by a network of industry experts, scientists and travelers who advise us on content and review articles.
Our aim is to inform people about travel topics – seriously and based on scientific standards. We want to provide TRAVELBOOK readers with knowledge, context and background information that will inspire them for future trips and help them with their planning. We report on stories of unique places, prepare experience reports from adventurers and globetrotters and show photos of natural wonders and sights from all over the world. In addition to the classic travel topics, readers will find recipes for international world cuisine and quizzes on geography and travel knowledge.
With our two podcasts “Tatort Reise” and “In 5 Minuten um die Welt”, we also offer our target group high-quality content for their ears, from true crime stories from the world of travel to personal recommendations and tips on travel destinations from all over the world.
Our target group
Our readers are interested in various travel topics. They want inspiration for their next vacation planning, guidance and service for the realization of the trip and background knowledge to classify their own experiences and adventures. We take our readers by the hand, from world travel, business trips, cruises, long-distance travel, city breaks, camping tours or road trips, family, single or couple vacations.
